other people who are fabulous just like you

I would like to have the option 'bi-gender' and 'gender-less' added when it comes to the gender choice. Now the choices are male, female and not specified or something.

I would like to see the options Bi-gender and gender-less added.
Bi-gender is not the same as bi-sexual.

Bi-gender means that the person identifies emotionally/mentaly with both genders even if his/her sexual orientation is different. Bi-gender means that the person feels that he/she has elements of both genders in an equal amount and does not feel any one gender can describe her/him. Gender-less means that the person does not identify with neither gender, even if he/she is born as a gender specific being.

I feel I am bi-gender, while my sexual orientation is heterosexual as I inhabit a female body, in my interactions with other people I will behave as a manwoman, or a bi-gender person as I call it.

Personally, I'd like a "genderqueer" option ^_^
But I understand the need to keep the list concise, and I appreciate the fact this site hasn't restricted us to "Male" or "Female" like a lot of places! Plus the choices for sexual orientation are broader than usual as well, which also pleased me ^_^

I agree. I was quite pleased with the range of choices for sexual orientation. It's already hard enough to describe, let alone choose one descriptive label. More choices makes that a little easier. I too like the "genderqueer" idea, but I'm not sure that would encompass gender identity for everyone.

What is "genderqueer"?

this one can get really tricky. i remember one time, at a gay center, i got snapped at by an older gay man for referring to a transgender person as a "tranny". he was deeply insulted. a week previous, i'd been at trannyshack, at the stud, san francisco, while self-proclaimed trannies threw the word around proudly. one person's pleasure is another person's poison, and it's so easy to insult &/or exclude.

how about for right now... actually, i already did this. for gender choices i put "male, female & i am not confined to the traditional gender binary."

wikipedia says there are 8 different types of transgender groups; i personally know of at least 2 more. which is a bit much to fit into a multiple choice question; people get turned off and don't respond well to online forms that have too many possible answers to questions, it's an odd user interface thing. i could choose only a few gender, the most popular, but then that'd exclude the others, which wouldn't be good.

also, there are endless permutations. i mean, i am for all intents and purposes female, look good when i dress femme, can dance like a courtesan, have never felt a pull to change my gender thru chemical or surgical means, don't look good when i dress boy, but still feel like something's not quite right, i wasn't quite born into the right body, and i have many "masculine" facets to my personality that are a bit odd and disconcerting to me, are jarring. what word would one use to label me? also, i am generally attracted to almost exclusively women, that's 99% of my sexual experience; however, i'll look in appreciation at a really fine guy, or a drag queen, or someone with a wonderfully undefined gender, and will my entire life have my unsatiated leatherdaddy fantasy. what the hell am i? if i tried to confine myself under a lable, i'd get way confused, so i just say hell to labels. =)

i'd like to see if the "not confined to the traditional gender binary" would work, try it out. if the teeming masses clamor for 10+ different subdivions to the "Gender?" questions, then we'll work it out then. sound okay? if not, i am also open to well-crafted arguments that cite statistical evidence. =)

Yeah, I like this 'not confined to the traditional gender binary' especially the word binary because I feel it is a very crusial word in my whole view of life and the world, universe, etc. in general. Good choice of words.

Well, how bout them options, i like both,
but asexual is gender too. Right?
I consider me to be both bi and no sexual.
As for gender, one needs 5 min. to tell what i am.
Plus before i was born, the docs found some evidence of transgenderness au natural
That'd explain a few things!
