If you were a paragraph of text, what would the paragraph say to describe itself?
In a previous life I was a Zoologist; I received my Bachelor of Science (Zoology) from the University of NSW (Australia) then worked as a Technical Officer in the RPHH Animal Breeding Unit, followed by the UNSW School of Zoology - primarily in the fields of palaeozoology, zoogeography, and animal behaviour (mainly kangaroos) - until the birth of my first son. Since then I've been a SAHM, and now have 4 wonderful sons, of whom the 2 youngest have been diagnosed with mild Asperger's Syndrome. The older 2 have lots of traits and are definitely somewhere on the spectrum too but have never been formally assessed. And me? ...well, I'm a self-diagnosed aspie. My wonderful husband's pretty special too ...he's an engineer afterall, LOL. (Love that Dilbert cartoon!)

A little more about me...

My personal blog is called "The Other Side - Inane ramblings of a Pagan Aspie Housewife". I've often felt my viewpoint was on “the other side” in a lot of situations - I never really felt like I fitted in anywhere. Hence the name of my blog, which also has a second meaning alluding to my interest in the paranormal and Pagan spirituality. Some of my blog entries touch on a unique combination of Asperger’s/autism, Paganism and other spirituality, the paranormal and their interconnections, which might seem rather weird to many people, but I find it all very intriguing. Either click on the image below or go to the RSS feed at the left to view my ramblings.
I also happen to be a witch and a member of (and website designer/manager for) a Pagan group, called Spheres Of Light (SOL) which meets in Southern Sydney, the Illawarra and surrounding regions, in NSW Australia. SOL conducts Full Moon Circles, workshops, classes, meditations and healing circles, with a strong emphasis on modern shamanic practices. So if there's anyone here who's interested in paganism, please take a look at our website, and feel free to join our discussion forums whether you're a local or not. All are welcome. :-)
We also have a paranormal investigation sub-group called SOuL Searchers...
...and a really interesting and informative FREE eNewsletter.
...plus a FREE Australian Pagan listing to help you find other pagans in your local area.

Love your website! I've got it bookmarked and I'll be going back to read more later. I'm supposed to be getting some work done at the moment - just can't seem to get focused. I'm off the Amazon.com to look for Stillman's books. They look incredibly interesting.

Jenwytch, Welcome aboard. I have just modified my own page. I like the way you have set up your page. It is good to contact a few people members that are married. I am happily married.

You live in Australia; you might know about people like Donna Williams, painting artist singer/songwriter, also has some amount of autism. I have her CD, Mutation. I also am a musician/singer/songwriter. I have just finished my second song for autism awareness.

For a theme song I placed an original song of mine, The Healthcare Musician. I think Australia has universal healthcare. May not be perfect, but at least every citizen has insurance, more than can be said for USA.

'Original' in that I created it using the ST insignia, yes. It's actually designed around the "ace" card concept, with Galileo in the centre image and Star Trek insignia representing the suit.
