I know what you mean, but even girls who don't have autism have trouble finding dates. I think popularity all boils down to money. Even all the charisma and charm in the world won't work without the cash to back it up. My son is very charismatic, ...

Never really looked into the possibilty of the fact that I might be autistic until it was discovered that my son has Aspberger's. Looking back into my own past, I did some net research and found out, hey! No wonder I'm so weird! I was very lucky to...

Got a website?
http://aspergermindspeaks.blogspot.com/
If you were a paragraph of text, what would the paragraph say to describe itself?
"Quote"
Are you on the autistic spectrum?
diagnosed
Are you in a relationship?
single
Gender identity?
not confined to the traditional gender binary
Sexual Orientation?
straight
Where do you live?
Amsterdam, NL
What are you here for?
just looking, for friends, talking online
What do you do for work?
I am promoting Autism Culture and organizing an Autism-related 3-day event in Greece
Do you belong to a particular religion? If so, which one?
Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism
What food do you absolutely HATE?
raw oysters, frog legs, snails, etc.
If tomorrow was yesterday, would you do it the same?
I didn't do yesterday to begin with, and I would never dream of doing tomorrow, so my problem is solved!
What's the best date you've ever been on?
June 14th was a reasonable date, but did not compare with December 7th as it was my birthday, but even that could never compare with July 7, 2007, as it was a date full of 7s when written as 07/07/07 and that's probably why it is the best date I've been on EVAR! as I love the number 7. Any other out-date-d questions?
Describe your ideal person:
Looks exactly like me, has my looks, thinks like me, likes the same things I like, oh! wait that is my twin, who got so badly on my nerves that I drowned her in the bathtub when we were 5... oops! I forgot...
You're hanging out with friends and having a good time. What are you doing?
Probably smoking a joint and getting stoned, so I can stand being with these friends and not getting all stressed out from having a good time, while talking non-stop about the meaning of life and chanting a Tibetan Buddhist mantra. And I didn't even mention yet what my friends are doing...
5 things you're really good at:
- Fixing things
- Learning things
- Debating things
- Telling the truth at all cost
- Getting on people's nerves
5 things you're not so good at:
- Cooking and baking
- Driving a car
- Diving off a 30 ft cliff
- Wearing high heels without twisting my ankles
- Understanding the NT society
What is your theme song?
Don't Give Up - By Peter Gabriel featuring Kate Bush
When the revolution comes, what will you be doing?
I will be leading it! What a silly question...

Autism: Changing the Status Quo... or simply REAJUSTING it???

We are members of the most destructive culture ever to exist. Our assault on the natural world, on indigenous and other cultures, on women, on children, on all of us through the possibility of nuclear suicide and other means - all these are unprecedented in their magnitude and ferocity... For us to maintain our way of living, we must tell lies to each other and especially to ourselves. The lies are necessary because, without them, many deplorable acts would become impossibilities.”

This is Autism!

The problem is that the answer and solution that solves the AUTISM puzzle is not 2-dimentional but 3-D, it is a sphere and not a flat circle. If you are able to understand that extra dimension then I will be able to explain the whole puzzle to you.

Because it is a circle, there is also no beginning and no end, something like the "who came first the chicken or the egg". as language is 2 dimensional so I will have to 'limit' my reply to fit into that need.... while my normal mode of thinking in p… Continue

The 'tool' - What it is and what it does

The Autistic Brain and its Capacity/Capability

There is so much I am half aware about my past. So many things and events whose details elude me because they seem like a memory that forms a picture with many pieces missing, like a puzzle unfinished but with the puzzle box picture gone and lost. I somehow feel I will never know what the real picture ever was, but always see the fragments that are still there.

A child's memory has so much to hold and work through and accumulate. A normal child's… Continue

What is Autism?

This is a question that every scientist in the last 15 years keeps asking and researching, but the more they research the further they seem to wander from the core. What is the core? The core is almost like an instinct, a 'fact' that ALL autistics -classic, aspies, HFAs, PDD-NOSers, etc- somehow have, understand, ac

Hi Star,

If you got the email below, it is not a real email or person; this is a Nigerian 419 scam...i got one as well, and instantly flagged that email on my email address...we should all spread the word and flag this person from the network...does not belong to an autie network at all...just being justifiably paranoid...

Hey I sent you a private message. If you have a chance, read it. I was wondering some things. Anyway, I'm back in San Antonio and back in school. How are you?

I only realised when I came back and visited your site, but not sure how to raise it (or how relevant it is) especially as I am not that frequent a visitor.

Sorry about not responding fully after that last message like I said, but various issues overwhelmed me around that time, and whilst I keep intending to respond I am struggling. However a new message is imminent.

i can't laugh at nt's.... two of my children are nt's, and they don't laugh at me...okay, they do, but, it's not in a mean way. they do much to form this lovely wall between me and their aspie brother and those who don't 'get' us... can you ask for more than that?

as far as chocolate... i'm all for that.

I am very interested! I would love to meet you and help you with the book. It is a subject that has always been of interest to me, even before I knew what it really was. You are one of only two people that truly understand what I am talking about when I refer to the Singularity. I have often used the Matrix analogy to describe it, but at some point I have trouble describing it to others. The only other person I have had any success describing it to is also on the spectrum, though you are the only one who understands how deep the meaning of it is. I would like to go into more detail in describing my understanding of what it is, and how the autistic tool enables one to percieve and conceptualize it. Most of my knowledge concerns ecology, plant biology, the environment, and earth sciences. I have some knowledge of neurobiology (which I imagine would help) but my knowledge of physics is a lot more limited, though I have a great recreational interest in reading about theoretical physics, especially astrophysics. The only problem is, I live in San Antonio, TEXAS. As a result, it would be harder for us to meet, but that doesn't mean that it would not be possible. If you are not interested in coming to Texas, I could travel elsewhere, I would just have to make arrangements. Let me know what you think. In the meantime, we can share ideas online. How would it be best to send messages? commenting on your page or by e-mail? Let me know. I think we could do a lot if we combine our "tools", and our ideas.
