i have my first meeting with an autism specialist. they don't take my insurance, but the fee isn't overly expensive and it's well worth it. i have questions and want some solid informtion. i was diagnosed with SID a few years ago, as i've mentioned, but i guess i'm otherwise self-diagnosed with Asperger's. i mean, docs have mentioned the possibly, but nothing concrete because no one seems to know about adults with autism spectrum disorders and until now, i haven't found anyone who works with adu… Continue

friends... it's tough
i've always found that i can meet people easily and be "social" even though it doesn't feel natural to be that way, but what i've always lacked are close friendships. I never had a girlfriend (like most girls do) that i can confide in or talk about anything more the the day-to-day type stuff with. i sometimes say the wrong thing or i'm unsure of how to react. i never got why i feel as tense as i do most of the time, why the clothing i wear absoultely drives me up the wall or why i'm so easily ov… Continue
